About Our Client
Raval Steel Manufacturing PLC, located in the Bahir Dar Industrial Zone, is the largest steel factory in the Amhara Region and one of Ethiopia’s leading producers in the steel manufacturing sector. The company is known for its high-quality products and commitment to supporting major construction and infrastructure projects nationwide.
The current project involves the construction of a headquarters building that will house group offices as well as residential units for expatriate staff.

Position: Resident Engineer
Employment Type: Contractual (Renewable until project completion)
Duty Station: Bole, Addis Ababa
Salary: Negotiable based on experience
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise and oversee day-to-day site activities
• Ensure construction works are executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards
• Monitor contractor performance, timelines, and compliance with project schedules
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders
• Review and approve technical documents, shop drawings, and work plans
• Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
• Prepare progress reports and provide regular updates to management
• Monitor material quality and site resource utilization
• Identify and resolve technical and operational challenges during construction
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s degree is an advantage)
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
• Proven experience in supervising similar building projects (multi-story office and/or residential developments)
• Strong understanding of construction standards, site supervision, and quality control
• Excellent coordination, reporting, and communication skills
• Strong problem-solving and leadership abilities
