1, Position Title: Roving Cashier
Number Required:1 position
Reports to: Senior Finance & Admin Officer
Duty Station: Moyale, Dawa Zone of the Somali region
Length of Contract: One year with a possibility of extension based on funding availability and performance
Salary: Based on NCA’s salary scale
Job Summary:
Facilitate the disbursement process by actively facilitating necessary payments during field activities and training payments by roving to project Implementation Sites, Moyale woreda of Dawa zone, Somali region, ensuring payments/disbursements are made following NCA Ethiopia policy and procedures.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
Facilitate training payments by traveling to each training site, preparing summary sheets, timely deposit of remaining work advance, and preparing JV/CPV (as applicable).
Ensure training and other related payments are processed in a timely following NCA Ethiopia Finance policy and procedures.
Make sure no trainer and/or participants is/are paid without the completion of proper documentation.
Inform the Country Office Finance Team on pending training and other related payments.
Assist FO Sr. Finance and Admin officer in the preparation of Payment Vouchers and checks.
Distribute/paychecks against a collection of receipts and/or signatures of recipients.
Issue Cash Receipts Vouchers for each deposit made to NCA Bank.
Strict follow-up of withholding tax deduction as per the government tax proclamation.
Responsible for preparing and issuing withholding tax to vendors on the spot and documenting it with the payment.
Assist in the preparation of tax reports and settle monthly withholding and income tax payments.
Handling properly the financial documents pads.
Ensure that files are up to date at the end of each month, and ensure all the proper works can be traceable to the files.
Cancel supporting documents with “PAID” stamps.
Assist in providing logistical support to program staff in project Implementation Sites (Moyale woreda of Dawa zone, Somali region).
Liaise with the program team and maintain an updated training tracking sheet and other related field movement calendars for smooth movement and timely payments.
Work in collaboration with the Country Office Finance & Operation Team.
Undertakes other related works ordered by the immediate supervisor.
Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
Diploma/BA in Accounting or Finance with at least 3/1 years of relevant experience in an NGO setting.
Personal Qualities/Skills:
Good computer skills in MS Office, particularly in Microsoft Excel and operating office equipment (Scanning, Photocopy, etc.).
Good command of writing and communicating in English and the local language.
Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality.
Can present an employment guarantee.
Must hold a valid ID confirming Moyale residency.
