Position:
Organization: Milk and honey
The Safety Engineer is responsible for ensuring workplace safety on project sites by identifying potential hazards, implementing preventive measures, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with local and international safety standards. The role also includes preparing emergency response plans and conducting training for staff and contractors.
Conduct routine site inspections to identify hazards and ensure safety compliance
Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies, procedures, and plans
Evaluate safety practices and provide corrective action recommendations
Conduct safety induction and periodic training for staff and contractors
Investigate and document incidents, near misses, and accidents
Prepare and maintain safety reports, checklists, and inspection records
Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Coordinate emergency response drills and ensure readiness of safety equipment
Work closely with engineers, site supervisors, and workers to promote a safety culture
Stay updated on legal regulations and standards related to occupational safety
BSc in Safety Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Occupational Safety with 2 years of relevant experience
MSc in a related field with no experience required
Solid understanding of OSHA, ISO 45001, and local safety regulations
Strong communication and training skills
Attention to detail and ability to analyze and solve problems
Computer skills: MS Office, report writing, and safety management tools
Certification in First Aid, Fire Safety, or Risk Assessment is a plus
