Fairteam Trading PLC, a leading organizer of major Trade Fairs and B2B events in Ethiopia, is seeking a highly driven Sales & Business Development Manager to lead the commercial function of its Trade Fair portfolio.
The role oversees full-cycle revenue generation across exhibitor sales, stand sales, sponsorships, group participation, strategic partnerships, and new business development.
The Manager provides leadership to the Sales & BD team while also personally managing high-value strategic accounts and driving key commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Sales & BD department, including strategy setting, team supervision, and performance management.

  • Define annual commercial strategies and translate them into actionable sales plans and targets.

  • Oversee pricing, discounting, and approval of commercial proposals.

  • Manage sales engine governance, pipeline management, CRM accuracy, and forecasting.

  • Personally oversee top-tier strategic accounts, including relationship management, negotiation, and contract closure.

  • Lead business development initiatives for expansion of existing fairs and development of new trade fair concepts.

  • Build and manage strategic partnerships with associations, embassies, ministries, and corporate partners.

  • Ensure cross-functional alignment with Operations, Marketing, Stand Production, Technical, and Finance teams.

  • Deliver commercial reports, forecasts, dashboards, and market/competitor insights.

  • Drive continuous improvement across sales processes and commercial delivery models.

Job Requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or related field (Master’s preferred).

  • Minimum 8+ years in B2B sales/business development roles.

  • At least 3+ years in a managerial or team-lead role.

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in sponsorship-driven or complex B2B services.

  • Proven success managing teams with large revenue targets.

  • Strong experience negotiating senior-level corporate and institutional deals.

  • Advanced commercial strategy, pricing, negotiation, and financial analysis skills.

  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and CRM proficiency.

  • Ability to meet timelines within fast-paced event cycles.
