Job Summary:

The Shop Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the shop, ensuring excellent customer service, managing staff, and achieving sales targets. The role requires strong leadership, operational management, and a solid understanding of Safaricom products and services to support customers effectively and drive business performance.

Job Requirements

Education:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, or with related field of study.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in Retail Management or a similar role.

  • Prior experience in Safaricom and Ethio telecom sales and business management is preferred.

Location: Addis Ababa(to be specified during interview)

Salary: Salary will be based on the company scale and internal compensation structure.

Starting Date: As soon as possible (the sooner the better).

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the shop and ensure smooth business activities.

  • Supervise, support, and motivate shop staff to achieve sales and service targets.

  • Responsible for the recruitment, onboarding, and retention of Brand Ambassadors (BA) and Direct Sales Agents (DSA).

  • Manage, coach, and monitor the performance of BA and DSA teams to ensure productivity and alignment with company objectives.

  • Ensure excellent customer service and address customer inquiries and complaints professionally.

  • Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to achieve or exceed sales targets.

  • Take full responsibility for achieving and exceeding the sales targets of the assigned cluster and go above and beyond to ensure target accomplishment.

  • Maintain proper stock management, including inventory control and reporting.

  • Ensure all Safaricom products and services are well promoted and accurately communicated to customers.

  • Prepare regular sales and performance reports for management.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and operational standards.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming shop environment.

  • Coordinate with relevant departments to resolve operational issues and improve shop performance.
