Position: Sales Officer
Duty Station: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Purpose

AL-MAHI Trading PLC is looking for motivated and target-oriented Sales Officers to join its sales team in Addis Ababa. The successful candidates will be responsible for expanding sales, developing customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and achieving assigned sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote and sell the company's products to existing and potential customers.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and business partners.

• Identify new customers and expand market coverage.

• Conduct regular customer visits and follow up on sales opportunities.

• Achieve assigned monthly and quarterly sales targets.

• Receive and follow up customer orders.

• Monitor customer needs, market trends, competitor activities, and prices.

• Ensure proper product presentation and availability at customer outlets.

• Collect and communicate customer feedback to management.

• Prepare regular sales and customer activity reports.

• Follow up on outstanding customer issues and ensure timely resolution.

• Support promotional campaigns and other sales and marketing activities.

• Maintain accurate records of customers, visits, orders, and sales.

Perform other sales-related duties assigned by the supervisor.

Job Requirements

Required Qualification

• Diploma or Degree in Sales and Marketing, Management, or a related field from a recognized institution.

Experience

• Previous experience in sales is preferred.

• Experience in FMCG, pharmaceutical, consumer products, distribution, or related businesses is an advantage.

• Fresh graduates with strong communication and sales potential may also be considered.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Good customer-service and negotiation skills.

• Target-oriented and results-driven.

• Ability to develop and maintain customer relationships.

• Self-motivated and able to work independently.

• Good knowledge of Addis Ababa's market is an advantage.

• Basic computer skills and good reporting ability.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet sales targets.

• Fluency in Amharic; knowledge of additional Ethiopian languages is an advantage.
