We are pleased to introduce you to Chora Gas Chemical Products Factory (CGCPF), one of Ethiopia’s pioneering industrial manufacturers. Our company was originally established in 1938 E.C. in Addis Ababa under the name SEDE, founded by four foreign nationals and one Ethiopian citizen with an initial capital of just 1,500 birr. From its early years, the factory focused on producing Oxygen and Acetylene gases, Sedex Bleach, and wax products.

In 1976 E.C., CGCPF became a government-owned enterprise under the National Chemical Corporation, where our role was focused on production and inventory, while procurement and sales were managed centrally. With the dissolution of the corporation in 1985 E.C., we gained full operational autonomy under the Public Enterprise Service Authority (PESA).

In line with the government’s privatization program under Proclamation No. 146/1998, our factory was fully transferred to private ownership and is now proudly administered by AMAGA Private Limited Company.

Today, CGCPF is registered and licensed by the Ministry of Trade and Industry under Ethiopian trade law. We are committed to building a world-class, value-driven organization, and are currently implementing a fully integrated ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System to enhance our operations and ensure the highest standards.

Job Summary:

  • The Indoor Sales Representative is responsible for generating and closing sales opportunities by engaging directly with customers at the company's sales office or via telephone, email, and other digital channels. The role focuses on building strong customer relationships, understanding client needs, presenting suitable products/services, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Greet walk-in customers and attend to their inquiries in a professional and friendly manner.

  • Proactively communicate with potential and existing customers via phone, email, or social media to promote products/services.

  • Provide accurate information about product features, prices, and availability.

  • Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate products to meet their requirements.

  • Prepare and follow up on sales quotations and invoices.

  • Achieve or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.

  • Maintain customer records and sales activity logs in the CRM system.

  • Coordinate with the warehouse and delivery teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.

  • Handle customer complaints or issues professionally and escalate when necessary.

  • Stay up to date with product knowledge and industry trends.

  • Support marketing campaigns and promotional activities as needed.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma or bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in indoor sales or customer service (experience in the Manufacturing industry is an advantage).

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong persuasion, negotiation, and closing skills.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and experience with CRM software is desirable.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.

  • Customer-focused and result-oriented.
