A secretary and administrative professionals in Ethiopia are responsible for the smooth operation of offices, providing crucial clerical and administrative support to management and staff, provides comprehensive administrative and clerical support to ensure office efficiency, acting as the primary point of contact for clients and staff. Key responsibilities include managing schedules, handling correspondence (emails/calls), organizing meetings, maintaining records, and preparing documents, typically requiring strong organizational, communication, and software skills.
Key responsibilities,
Correspondence & Communication: Answering phone calls, letters, handling emails, and managing incoming/outgoing mail.
Scheduling & Diary Management: Coordinating appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements for staff or executives.
Document Preparation: Typing, formatting, editing, and printing reports, memos, and presentations.
Office Administration: Maintaining filing systems, ordering supplies, scanning, and photocopying.
Meeting Support: Preparing agendas, booking meeting rooms, and taking minutes.
Reception Duties: Greeting clients and visitors.
Data Management: Updating and maintaining company databases and records.
Job Requirements
Essential skills and qualifications
Education: A Diploma or bachelor's degree in Secretarial Science, Office Management, Business Administration, or a related field is typically required.
Experience: Proven experience as a secretary or administrative assistant is essential, with requirements roles. Executive Secretary roles often require 5/3 years of experience respectively.
