We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of accounting operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and maintaining robust internal controls. This role is critical in supporting our dynamic operations in the construction and import-export sectors.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Perform variance analysis and provide actionable insights to management.

• General Ledger Maintenance: Ensure the integrity of the general ledger. Perform account reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end/year-end closing procedures.

• Tax Compliance & eTax Filing: Manage all corporate tax matters, including timely preparation, submission, and e-filing of VAT, WHT, and Corporate Income Tax returns.

• Internal Controls & Audit Support: Establish, monitor, and enforce internal financial controls. Serve as the primary point of contact for external audits, ensuring a smooth and compliant process.

• Accounts Payable & Receivable Oversight: Supervise the AP/AR cycles, including invoice processing, collections, and vendor payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Payroll Processing: Oversee the accurate and timely processing of payroll, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

• General Accounting Tasks: Manage fixed assets, inter-company transactions, and other ad-hoc finance-related projects.

Job Requirements

About You – Qualifications & Experience:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. IFRS or equivalent certification is a strong plus.

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with a mandatory background in the construction and import-export industries. Experience with project accounting and international trade finance is essential.

Technical Skills (Mandatory):

• Advanced proficiency in Peachtree Accounting (Sage)

• Extensive experience with eTax platforms for official submissions.

• Personal Attributes: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. High level of integrity, accuracy, and the ability to meet tight deadlines. Strong communication and leadership skills to guide junior staff.
