Amen Manufacturing Limited is a fast-growing import–export company engaged in the international trade of agricultural commodities, industrial goods, and consumer products. We are committed to operational excellence, financial integrity, and global competitiveness. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team.

The Senior Accountant will oversee all accounting functions, ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain compliance with Ethiopian tax and regulatory requirements, and support the company’s import–export operations through proper documentation and cost analysis.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

• Oversee all general ledger activities and ensure accurate posting of transactions.

• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.

• Handle import–export financial processes, including:

  • Costing of imported and exported goods

  • Follow-up of LC, CAD, and TT payments

  • Reconciliation of customs declarations, freight, insurance, and duty payments

• Ensure full compliance with Ethiopian tax laws (VAT, income tax, withholding tax, excise tax, customs regulations).

• Prepare tax returns and support internal and external audit processes.

• Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and financial forecasting.

• Lead and mentor junior accounting staff.

• Maintain a well-organized documentation system for all financial and logistics records

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s is a plus).

• Minimum 3–5 years of professional accounting experience, with at least 1 years in the import–export sector in Ethiopia.

• Strong knowledge of Ethiopian tax laws, customs procedures, and banking rules for international trade.

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Peachtree/Sage, ERP systems) and MS Excel.

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

• High attention to detail, integrity, and ability to work under pressure.
