The senior Accountant supports the finance department by performing basic accounting tasks such as recording transactions, assisting in preparing reports, reconciling accounts, and maintaining accurate financial records. This position provides a foundation for career growth in accounting and finance.

Duties and Responsibilities

Financial Management and Strategy

•  Strategic Financial Planning: Develop and implement a company's financial strategies, including long-term financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
•  Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to provide insights into the company's performance, profitability, and efficiency. This includes assessing the financial impact of major business decisions and providing data-driven recommendations.
•  Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process and monitor performance against budgets and key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying variances and trends.
Reporting and Compliance
•  Financial Reporting: Oversee the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and reports for both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring all financial reporting complies with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
•  Risk Management: Identify and manage financial risks, such as currency exchange risk, interest rate risk, and credit risk, and implement strategies to mitigate them.
•  Audits and Compliance: Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory agencies to ensure the company's financial practices are compliant with all relevant laws and standards.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• 0–3years of experience in accounting or finance roles (internship or volunteer experience accepted).

• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
