Position: Senior Accountant

About the Role

Sphinx Trading PLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will bring strong financial expertise, analytical skills, and a proven track record of managing accounting operations with precision and integrity.  

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.  

• Prepare and analyze financial statements in compliance with regulatory standards.  

• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.  

• Manage tax filings and ensure compliance with Ethiopian tax laws.  

• Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.  

• Support audits and liaise with external auditors.  

• Provide financial insights to management for strategic decision-making.  

Job Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting & Finance,

• Minimum of 6–7 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a trading or commercial environment.  

• Strong knowledge of Ethiopian financial regulations and tax laws.  

• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).  

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.  

• High level of integrity and attention to detail.  

Salary : Negotiable
