Job Summary

The Senior Accountant will manage accounting operations for a property management services company, ensuring accurate recording of transactions, reconciliation of accounts, and timely financial reporting. The role supports month-end closing and audit readiness.

Job Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or with related field of study

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of accounting experience.

  • Experience with Peachtree (QuickBooks/Peachtree) is required or strongly preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle accounting for property management activities (rent/service charges, vendor expenses, deposits/refunds where applicable).

  • Prepare and review journal entries; ensure proper accounting treatment and documentation.

  • Perform bank reconciliations and maintain cash/bank schedules.

  • Reconcile tenant ledgers and accounts receivable (as applicable).

  • Review invoices, ensure correct posting/coding, and track outstanding balances.

  • Prepare monthly reports and account reconciliations for management review.

  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes.

  • Assist with internal/external audits and provide supporting documents.

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and statutory requirements.

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and expense tracking related to properties.

  • Train/guide junior staff when required.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.

  • Proficiency in peaches tree software & Excel .

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • High accuracy and attention to detail

  • Good documentation and reporting skills

  • Ability to meet deadlines and work independently

  • Strong communication skills
