Position: Senior Accountant

🧾 Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to oversee financial operations, ensure accurate reporting, and maintain strong internal controls. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in accounting, financial reporting, tax compliance, and team supervision.

✅ Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

• Manage general ledger, reconciliations, and journal entries

• Supervise junior accountants and finance staff

• Ensure compliance with Ethiopian tax laws and financial regulations

• Prepare and file VAT, Withholding Tax, and Payroll tax reports

• Monitor accounts payable and receivable

• Conduct bank and cash reconciliations

• Support internal and external audits

• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management

• Maintain proper documentation and accounting records

• Implement and monitor internal control procedures

• Prepare management financial reports and analysis

   Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• 2+ years of relevant accounting experience (preferably in a private company)

• Strong knowledge of Ethiopian tax regulations and reporting

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Peachtree,)

• Advanced Excel skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent leadership and communication abilities

• High level of integrity and attention to detail

🏆 Preferred Skills

• Experience in audit preparation

• Experience in transport, or service sector
