Senior Accountant and Finance Job description

Location: Beklobet Noc, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia Employment Type: Permanent

About the position we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Accountant with strong expertise in costing, budgeting, and inventory management.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements

• Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.

• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.

• Ensure transactions are properly recorded books of accounts are balanced and authorize records of transaction

• Comply with tax and other regulatory and ensure timely and accurate payments of all tax and pensions obligation to the concerned organization

• Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.

• Prepare and file tax returns in compliance with local regulations.

• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.

• Effectively manage collection of incomes (Sales, fees and Credits from the suppliers)

Job Requirements

Required Skills:

• Demonstrate proficiency in accounting principles and practices.

• Exhibit strong adaptability to changing financial regulations and procedures.

• Utilize auditing skills to assess financial records and ensure accuracy.

• Analyze financial data to provide actionable insights, manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.

• Communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.

• Implement financial controls and compliance measures.

• Utilize accounting software and tools effectively.

Desired Skills:

• Experience with international accounting standards.

• Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance.

• Knowledge of financial modeling techniques and financial analysis and reporting tools.

Qualifications and Experience

• B.A/MA Degree in Accounting, Finance and related fields.

• Experience: Minimum of 4 years as senior accountant

• Experience in pharmaceutical import is a plus
