Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in import and export operations and will be responsible for managing financial reporting, ensuring compliance, and supporting the company’s international trade activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements;

• Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries and reconciliations; 

• Handle accounting for import, export, trading transactions;  

• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations; 

• Manage accounts payable and receivable;

• Support audits and liaise with external auditors 

• Analyze financial data and provide insights for business decisions; 

• Strengthen internal controls and improve accounting processes; 

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance;

• Minimum of 5+ years of relevant accounting experience; 

• Proven experience in import and export accounting is mandatory; 

• Strong understanding of trade finance (LCs, foreign payments, bank documentation); 

• Knowledge of customs duties, port charges, and related cost structures; 

• Experience handling foreign currency transactions and exchange rate impacts; 

• Proficiency in accounting soft wares; 

• Experience with ERP systems is an added advantage;

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills; 

• High level of integrity and attention to detail;

• Excellent communication skills; 

Preferred Skills

• Experience in trading or import/export companies 

• Familiarity with ERP systems 

• Knowledge of local tax and customs regulations
