Job Summary: 

Axon Neurology Specialty Center PLC is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to oversee and manage the company’s financial records, reporting, and compliance. The ideal candidate will ensure the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions, as well as supporting strategic decision-making through financial analysis and reporting. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS. 

• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes. 

• Monitor and reconcile bank statements and company accounts. 

• Maintain the general ledger and oversee journal entries. 

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. 

• Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations. 

• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. 

• Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions. 

• Support the implementation of financial controls and procedures. 

• Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and government entities as necessary. 

Job Requirements

Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or ACCA qualification is a plus. 

• Minimum 4 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a healthcare or service-related industry. 

• Strong knowledge of Ethiopian tax laws, financial reporting standards, and accounting principles. 

• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Peachtree, QuickBooks, or ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel. 

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. 

• High attention to detail and accuracy. 

• Ability to work independently and in a team.
