The Senior Auto Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining both vehicles and heavy machinery such as excavators and loaders. As well as supervising junior mechanics to ensure high-quality and timely service. The role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to handle complex mechanical issues.

Job Requirements

• Education: Diploma or Degree in Auto Mechanics / Automotive Technology

• Experience: 5–10+ years of relevant experience

• Strong knowledge of:

  • Engine systems

  • Electrical systems

  • Diesel and petrol vehicles

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and engine problems in vehicles and Machineries

• Perform advanced repairs (engine overhaul, transmission, suspension, braking systems)

• Conduct routine maintenance (oil changes, inspections, servicing)

• Supervise and guide junior mechanics and technicians

• Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards

• Use diagnostic tools and equipment efficiently

• Maintain service records and repair reports

• Coordinate with parts department for required spare parts

• Test vehicles after repair to ensure proper functioning

• Minimize downtime and improve workshop efficiency
