At-Con Engineering & Architecture Consultancy Plc., a well-established and reputable consulting company based in Addis Ababa, is engaged in the design and supervision of civil engineering works, including roads, bridges, buildings, water supply systems, and other infrastructure projects. We are seeking Two (2) a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Contract Engineer to lead contract administration and ensure effective management of contractual matters throughout project execution. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in construction contracts, claims management, and cost control.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the administration of construction contracts and ensure compliance with all contractual obligations.

• Review and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, and BOQs.

• Manage and evaluate variation orders, claims, and extension of time (EOT) requests.

• Prepare, review, and certify interim payment certificates and final accounts.

• Monitor project progress in relation to contractual schedules and milestones.

• Provide contractual advice and guidance to project teams and management.

• Coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders on contract-related matters.

• Maintain proper documentation of all contractual correspondence, notices, and records.

• Ensure proper implementation of FIDIC or other applicable contract conditions.

• Identify contractual risks and recommend mitigation measures.

• Support procurement processes, including tender evaluation and contract negotiation.

• Prepare periodic reports on contract performance, claims status, and project costs.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (Master’s degree is an advantage).

• Minimum 8–10 years of relevant professional experience in contract management for construction or infrastructure projects.

• Strong knowledge of FIDIC contract conditions and construction contract administration.

• Proven experience in claims analysis, variation management, and cost control.

• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contractual documents.

• Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and contract/project management software.

• Strong analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Professional certification or registration is an advantage
