Position: Senior Cost Accountant

Company Overview

Violet General Business PLC is engaged in the production of mineral water in plastic bottles and operates as the umbrella company for Cheers Bottling Plant and other upcoming industries. The company manufactures plastic bottles in-house to support its water filling line, ensuring quality, efficiency, and cost control. 

Violet General Business PLC is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Accountant to oversee cost accounting activities related to manufacturing operations. The role focuses on product costing, inventory control, cost analysis, and supporting management with accurate cost and profitability insights.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain accurate product costing systems for bottled water and plastic bottle manufacturing

• Analyze production costs, material usage, labor, and overhead variances

• Monitor and control manufacturing costs to improve operational efficiency

• Manage inventory valuation, WIP, and finished goods costing

• Prepare cost reports and provide recommendations for cost optimization

• Support budgeting, standard costing, and cost forecasting activities

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal cost control procedures

• Work closely with production and finance teams to ensure accurate cost data

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Cost Accounting, or a related field

• Experience: Minimum of 4 years relevant work experience

• Industry Requirement: Proven experience in a manufacturing environment (food, beverage, or plastics preferred)

• Strong knowledge of cost accounting methods, standard costing, and variance analysis

• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office

• Ability to interpret cost data and present insights clearly

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

• Good communication and teamwork skills
