Job Summary

The Senior Cost Accountant will play a critical role in managing and analyzing production costs, ensuring accurate cost reporting, and supporting decision-making within the paint manufacturing process. This role requires deep knowledge of raw materials costing (pigments, resins, and solvents), production processes, and inventory control.

Job Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or with related field of study.

  • Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CMA) is an added advantage.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience specifically in the paint or coatings industry (mandatory)

  • Strong experience in manufacturing cost accounting

Quantity Required: 1

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead cost accounting activities including standard costing, variance analysis, and cost control.

  • Analyze raw material costs, labor, and overhead related to paint production.

  • Prepare and review monthly financial reports, cost reports, and reconciliations.

  • Monitor and evaluate inventory valuation and stock movements.

  • Perform month-end closing activities including journal entries and cost adjustments

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements in manufacturing.

  • Collaborate closely with production, procurement, and supply chain teams.

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
