About the Organization:

A Senior E-Banking Officer is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations and development of the e-banking channels, including mobile banking, internet banking, Agency Banking ATM services, POS, and digital wallet systems. And overseeing a bank's electronic banking channels, ensuring they are secure, reliable, and user-friendly. This role implementing the Digital Banking strategies of the Institution to enhance digital banking services, managing platform performance, and improving customer experience. The officer also plays a key role in ensuring compliance with regulations and collaborating with various teams to drive digital banking initiative

       SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Engage in the implementation, maintenance and support of e-banking platforms including mobile, internet, ATM, Agency Banking and Card Banking services.

  • Collaborate with IT, operations, marketing, and vendors to implement and enhance digital banking functionalities and user experience.

  • Monitor system performance and customer usage to recommend improvements and new features.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, cybersecurity standards, and internal policies.

  • Handle escalated customer issues and ensure timely resolution of technical or service-related problems.

  • Coordinate with vendors for timely updates, patches, and upgrades of e-banking systems.

  • Analyze usage reports and customer feedback to improve service delivery and promote adoption of digital channels.

  • Prepare periodic reports on e-banking performance, incidents, and project progress.

  • Train and support branch staff and customer service teams on e-banking services and updates.

  • Participate in digital innovation initiatives and propose solutions that increase digital transaction volumes.

  • Additional Responsibilities as requested by the Line Manager 

Job Requirements

  1. EDUCATION/TRAINING 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Banking & Finance, or a related field.

  • Trainings on project Management , ITIL & Digital Financial Services 

  • Certifications in Digital / Electronic Banking will be added advantage 

         2. EXPERIENCE

  • 5 experience in the field of Information Technology & 2 of which on Digital Banking platforms 

  • Hands on experience on implementation, Maintenance and support of Digital Banking platforms (internet/mobile banking, Agency Banking, cards, ATMs, etc.).

  • Experience in managing e-banking platforms (Project management skills and ability to manage cross-functional teams

    3. SKILLS

  • Solid knowledge and on digital banking technologies and trends.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple priorities.

  • Knowledge of banking regulations related to e-banking and data privacy.

  • Customer-concentric mindset and proactive approach to improving digital services.

  • Able to communicate effectively with non-technical staff and with members of interdisciplinary teams.

  • Flexible and adaptable in regards to learning and understanding new technologies

  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Highly self-motivated and directed
