ATTA Trading Plc, a member of the ATTA Group, is a reputable construction company engaged in high-rise building construction and ICT infrastructure development. The Company has a strong track record in delivering complex projects across Ethiopia, including civil works, MEP installations, ICT systems, and finishing works.

The Company is currently seeking to recruit a highly competent and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to be based at the Head Office. The successful candidate will be responsible for electrical design, quantity surveying, cost estimation, and technical coordination for building projects.

Job Requirement

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with related field of study.

Experience:

• Minimum 4 years of electrical design experience, preferably in building projects (power and ELV systems – key requirement)

• Minimum 2 additional years of construction site experience in electrical installation works

Quantity Required: 1

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review electrical design drawings for building projects, including power and extra low voltage (ELV) systems

• Develop detailed electrical layouts, schematics, and technical documentation using AutoCAD

• Perform quantity take-offs and measurements from drawings and site data

• Prepare technical specifications and scope of work for electrical installations

• Conduct cost estimation, prepare bills of quantities (BOQ), and develop price quotations

• Support project teams with technical inputs during planning and execution phases

• Review contractor submissions and ensure compliance with design and specifications

• Coordinate with other disciplines (Mechanical, Civil, ICT) to ensure integrated project delivery

• Provide technical support during site execution when required

Skills and Competencies

• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD

• Ability to perform quantity take-offs and measurements from drawings and site data

• Practical experience in preparing technical specifications for electrical works

• Proven ability in cost estimation, cost breakdown, and price quotation preparation

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Good communication and coordination abilities

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Additional Advantages (Preferred)

• Experience in high-rise building projects

• Familiarity with international standards and local electrical codes

• Knowledge of additional engineering software (ETAP or similar)
