Job Title: Senior Electrician

Job Summary:

The Senior Electrician is responsible for overseeing electrical maintenance, installations, troubleshooting, and repairs of complex electrical systems. This role includes supervising junior electricians, ensuring safety standards, and coordinating with management to optimize electrical operations and system efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, circuit breakers, and equipment.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Perform preventive maintenance to ensure optimal operation of electrical systems.

  • Lead the installation of electrical equipment, lighting, power distribution, and control panels.

  • Upgrade electrical systems to meet code requirements and increase energy efficiency.

  • Adhere to electrical codes, standards, and regulations 

  • Conduct regular safety audits and ensure all team members follow safety procedures.

  • Identify potential hazards and implement corrective measures.

  • Supervise and mentor junior electricians and apprentices.

  • Allocate tasks and provide guidance to ensure quality workmanship.

  • Conduct training sessions on safety protocols and new technologies.

  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, installations, and inspections.

  • Report maintenance activities and electrical faults to management.

  • Assist in developing maintenance schedules and improvement plans.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.

Stay updated on the latest electrical technologies and best practices

Job Requirements

• Education: BSc in Electro mechanical, Electricity or Electronics 

• Experience: Minimum of 4/6 years of experience as an electrician, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Experience in laboratory equipment have an advantage
