Job Title: Senior HC & Talent Management Officer

Purpose of the Job: 

To support the MFI to achieve its business objectives through effectively managing its human capital by analyzing, designing, and evaluating jobs; planning for and availing the required talent at the right time and place; following-up maintenance of high standard of conducts and discipline; facilitating organizational communication platforms; and administering immediate separation of employees.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in Human Capital planning and review.

    • Identify job vacancies; post job announcements; collect and sort applications.

    • Ensure completion of all employment formalities such as pre-employment medical check, registration with the social security fund, due completion of all staff forms for record purposes.

    • Follow-up new hires probation period performance evaluation and issue permanent assignment or termination letter as the case may be.

    • Periodically design/redesign and evaluate jobs and analyses the content of the job descriptions and job specifications.

    • Be the first port of call for all employee grievances; deal with employee conflicts; seek grievance resolution, and apply disciplinary action where necessary as per the guidelines provided in the employee code of conduct.

    • Facilitate election of employee representative for each department to establish employee representation mechanism and facilitate regular meetings of the representatives to discuss arising staff matters.

    • Advise functional units regarding HC Management matters.

    • Participate as a member of employment panel as required.

    • Conduct exit interviews for employees whose employment contract terminates.

    • Consolidate Institutional wide training needs to develop training program.

    • Execute human capital development and career development programs.

    • Follow up and assist in the execution of results-oriented performance management system (PMS).

    • Conduct impact assessment of training and development programs and suggest improvements.

    • Facilitate the preparation of training modules.

    • Facilitate the training and preparation of TOR.

    • Carry out research to be used in reviewing the competency model.

    • Coordinate & Facilitate orientation, training, development programs and knowledge transfer within the MFI.

    • Develop specifications to be used in procuring training and development service providers.

    • Confirm payments for training and development related services.

    • Provide response to employees’ education sponsorship and tuition fee refund requests. 

    • Regularly conduct industry and market survey pertaining to pay benefits and propose necessary revisions to the MFI for implementation to enhance pay competitiveness.

    • Set employees satisfaction index, conduct satisfaction surveys and propose remedial actions.

    • Prepare and propose reward and recognition procedures for review and endorsement.

    • Perform other duties as assigned by immediate supervisors.
