DROGA PHARMA PLC is an importer, distributor, and commission agent for pharmaceuticals and healthcare products in the territory of Ethiopia. 

Our Company was established in April 2015 with two staff. Currently, we have a total of 400+ employees with different professional backgrounds and work Experience. And now, Droga Pharma PLC, as a business unit, is establishing a chain of pharmacies all over the Nation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems

  • Update HR databases (e.g. new hires, separations, vacation, sick leaves and contact details)

  • Assess training needs and coordinate learning and development initiatives for all employees

  • Process employees’ requests and provide relevant information

  • Coordinate HR projects, meetings and training seminars

  • Implement performance review procedures (e.g. Monthly CPR, quarterly Performance feed back, Semi-annual evaluations)

  • Assist supervisors in performance management procedures

  • Answer employees queries about HR-related issues

  • Assist payroll department by providing relevant employee information (e.g. leaves of absence, sick days and work time)

  • Participate in HR projects

  • Analyzes the people, process, planning, human resource strategies, values, cultures, and structure of the organization to improve organizational effectiveness and productivity.

  • Ensures induction and indoctrination programs are conducted for newly hired candidates.

  • Participate to Initiates and effectively implements policies, plans and procedures on Organizational development; establishment/revision of progression schemes, Qualification requirement and job description; human resource planning and HCM reports.

  • Develops/update SOPs and guideline pertaining to the section activities to improve process efficiency. 

  • Initiate Policies Plans and procedures on promotion, transfer, outsourcing, and contract administration

  • Participate in establishment of a structured, documented and clearly articulated coaching and mentoring systems across the company and follow up the implementation.

  • Review employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance

  • Observing, reviewing and analyzing processes to identify inefficiencies and areas where improvements could be made

  • Serve as Droga Group Brand Ambassador, 

  • Performs other related duties as may be assigned from time to time by the immediate supervisor.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. 

  • 3-5  years of experience in HR, with a focus on employee relations, talent management, and compliance.
