We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Human Resource Officer to support and coordinate the day-to-day human resource operations of the organization. The role focuses on effective implementation of HR policies, procedures, and systems, while providing technical support to management and employees to ensure compliance, efficiency, and a positive work environment.
The Senior Human Resource Officer is responsible for executing and coordinating core HR functions, including recruitment, learning & development, performance management, compensation and benefits administration, employee relations, and compliance with Ethiopian labor laws.
Key Responsibilities
Handle recruitment, onboarding, and probation processes
Maintain employee records, contracts, and HR databases
Implement and monitor performance management systems
Administer compensation, benefits, and payroll support
Handle employee relations, grievances, and disciplinary matters
Coordinate learning and development, including training needs assessment and program implementation
Ensure compliance with Ethiopian labor laws and company policies
Prepare HR reports and support management decisions
Job Requirements
About You
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Management, Business Administration, or related fields.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience in recruitment, learning & development, performance management, compensation and benefits, employee relations, and labor law compliance.
Strong knowledge of Ethiopian Labor Law.
Proven experience in recruitment, learning & development, performance management, and employee relations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical, reporting, and organizational skills
Proficiency in MS Office and HR systems
High level of integrity and confidentiality
