Senior Inventory Controller

The Senior Inventory Controller is responsible for planning, monitoring, and controlling inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability, minimize carrying costs, prevent stock losses, and support uninterrupted production and sales operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement inventory control policies, procedures, and best practices.

  2. Monitor inventory levels across raw materials, packaging, WIP, and finished goods.

  3. Ensure optimal stock levels to avoid shortages, overstocking, or obsolescence.

  4. Conduct regular physical stock counts and cycle counts and reconcile variances.

  5. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, losses, damages, and errors.

  6. Coordinate with Procurement, Production, Warehouse, and Sales to align inventory plans.

  7. Review material requirements and forecast demand based on production and sales plans.

  8. Ensure accurate and timely posting of inventory transactions in ERP / inventory systems.

  9. Prepare and analyze inventory reports (aging, slow-moving, obsolete stock, variances).

  10. Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and company policies.

  11. Support internal and external audits related to inventory.

  12. Identify opportunities to improve inventory turnover and working capital efficiency.

  13. Train and supervise inventory and warehouse staff where applicable.

  14. Ensure proper storage, handling, and FIFO/FEFO practices are followed.

  15. Participate in annual stock valuation and financial closing activities.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.

  • Minimum 4 Years of experience in inventory control, preferably in manufacturing or FMCG.

  • Strong knowledge of inventory management principles (FIFO, FEFO, EOQ, safety stock).

  • Experience working with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, or similar).

  • Good understanding of internal controls and audit requirements.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • High level of integrity and attention to detail.
