International Clinical Laboratories (ICL) is one of the largest independent clinical diagnostic centers on the African continent. ICL opened its door for service in 2004 with the aim of “contributing to the maintenance and enhancement of the quality of life throughout Ethiopia” by encompassing a system of human and physical resources designed to meet the changing healthcare needs of the population it serves.
It is the only laboratory accredited by the USA-based Joint Commission International (JCI) five times in a row. The laboratory provides more than 3000 tests in collaboration with its referral laboratories.
ICL would like to fill the following vacant positions under the Customer Service Section by inviting all qualified and competent applicants:
Basic Function of position:
The senior Marketing officer oversees the general marketing activities of the company. He/she is tasked with business development and strategic planning, managing the marketing budget, and monitoring and evaluating promotional activities.
Key responsibilities:
Marketing
Senior Marketing Officer is required to plan promotional activities, events, and campaigns that meet the objectives of the company
Evaluate the impact and performance of marketing and promotional activities and submit a quarterly report to senior management
Represent ICL in public relations events such as Conferences, health care campaigns, panel discussions, and promote services.
Participate in strategic planning and devise up-to-date marketing strategies based on market intelligence and consumer behaviour.
Identify sectors for business development, analyse market trends, generate leads, and grow ICL’s market share.
Ensure continuous public visibility and maintain the reputation of ICL.
Collaborate with the finance and participate in budgeting for marketing activities
Digital and Social Media
Maintain the social media presence of the company, and communicate developments, news, and updates.
Collaborate with the technical department of ICL to produce authentic, educational, aesthetical, and engaging content for the general public and health sector
Ensure the implementation and adherence of staff to the social media guidelines of the company.

Location: Head office, Addis Ababa but may have frequent visits to Branch offices and clients in the region

Required skills
Ability to work independently and demonstrable marketing experience
Willingness to collaborate with other departments and learning attitude
Demonstrable graphics Design and creative content development skills
Up-to-date knowledge and skills in digital marketing and social media advertisement
Advanced computer literacies Ms. Office:- Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is an advantage
Ability to work under pressure
Good interpersonal skills
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Strong sense of ethics and integrity
Travel to territories outside of scope to assist when required
Ad-Hoc
Be available to work after hours and on weekends if required
Required Experience and Qualification
Minimum of Bachelor in Commerce or Marketing
Five (5) years’ experience out of which 2 years’ experience in a marketing managerial level or officer role
Experience in Health care industry or pharmaceuticals is desirable
Demonstrable digital marketing and graphic design skills (please submit a portfolio)
