As we continue the successful execution of the MORE Project, we are looking for a highly competent, detail-oriented, and experienced Senior Office Engineer to join our project team.

Position Overview

The Senior Office Engineer will play a vital role in coordinating project documentation, quantity verification, payment certification, planning support, reporting, contract administration, and technical coordination.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Project Manager, consultants, subcontractors, and site engineers to ensure timely reporting, accurate quantity measurements, proper documentation, and smooth project execution.

Job Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or with related field of study from a recognized university.

  • Applicants with a minimum GPA of 3.20 are strongly encouraged to apply.

  • Professional certifications in Quantity Surveying, Project Management, Planning, or Contract Administration are an added advantage.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in building construction projects with proven expertise in Quantity Surveying, Interim Payment Certificate (IPC) Preparation, Project Reporting, Cost Monitoring, Contract Administration, Document Control

  • Experience in high-rise building construction projects is highly preferred.

  • Experience on high-rise and large-scale commercial building projects will be preferred

  • Experience using Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar planning software will be preferred

  • Experience working with consultants, international contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams will be preferred

Duties and Responsibilities

Quantity Surveying & Payment Certification

  • Prepare quantity take-offs and verify executed work quantities.

  • Prepare and submit Interim Payment Certificates (IPCs) and supporting documentation.

  • Review and certify subcontractor payment applications.

  • Maintain measurement records and payment histories.

  • Monitor contract quantities, variations, omissions, and additional works.

  • Coordinate with site teams to ensure accurate quantity verification.

Planning, Progress Monitoring & Cost Control

  • Support project planning and scheduling activities.

  • Monitor project progress against approved work programs.

  • Track productivity, completed quantities, and project performance.

  • Assist in project cost monitoring and resource utilization.

  • Identify project risks, delays, and constraints, and recommend corrective actions.

Material Management

  • Monitor material deliveries, consumption, and utilization.

  • Compare actual consumption with approved BOQs and material take-offs.

  • Prepare material reconciliation and utilization reports.

  • Coordinate material requirements with procurement and site teams.

  • Identify material shortages, wastage, and discrepancies.

Reporting & Project Documentation

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.

  • Develop project dashboards and executive summaries.

  • Maintain project records, site diaries, productivity reports, and performance analyses.

  • Ensure timely submission of contractual and management reports.

Document Control & Technical Coordination

  • Maintain an organized project filing and document control system.

  • Manage RFIs, technical submittals, approvals, and correspondence.

  • Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, planners, quantity surveyors, and client representatives.

  • Prepare meeting minutes and monitor follow-up actions.

Contract Administration

  • Support the administration of construction contracts.

  • Assist in preparing variation orders, contractual claims, and correspondence.

  • Monitor contractual obligations and project deliverables.

  • Ensure complete documentation of contractual matters.

Skills & Competencies

The ideal candidate should demonstrate:

  • Strong knowledge of quantity surveying principles and construction methods

  • Knowledge of FIDIC Conditions of Contract will be preferred

  • Excellent understanding of payment certification and contract administration

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, and related engineering software

  • Excellent analytical, numerical, and reporting skills

  • Strong organizational and coordination abilities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

  • High integrity, accountability, and attention to detail
