Job Description
ATTA Trading PLC is a leading, diversified corporate entity actively engaged in high-value building construction, import/export, hospitality, and manufacturing sectors in Ethiopia. We are currently executing landmark vertical developments in Addis Ababa, including major structural frame construction and high-end subcontracts for large-scale finishing works.
We are seeking a highly experienced, technically rigorous, and strategically minded Senior Project Manager to join our construction division. The successful candidate will assume complete site-level ownership, overseeing vertical concrete frame execution, structural skeleton quality control, subcontractor coordination, and strict budget/man-hour optimization to deliver our landmark vertical structures safely and on schedule.
Job Requirements
Education
Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Technology & Management (COTM), or a related structural engineering field from an accredited institution.
Active registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Associate Professional Engineer with the Ministry of Urban and Infrastructure (MoUI).
Experience
Minimum of 12 to 15 years of general construction experience in building construction.
A minimum of 8 years of direct experience serving as a Project Manager on high-rise vertical concrete developments (minimum G+15 towers).

Duties and Responsibilities
Direct and manage the entire vertical concrete frame execution phase of high-rise commercial/residential developments, ensuring rapid, safe, and precise concrete placements.
Ensure all structural works strictly adhere to national building codes (EBCS), project technical specifications, and design tolerances for structural steel reinforcement, formwork systems, and concrete ancillaries.
Serve as ATTA's primary technical representative on site, leading weekly progress meetings, reviewing design variations, and securing approved Work Permits from the supervising consultant before physical execution.
Establish and monitor master project schedules (using MS Project or Primavera). Optimize formwork cycle turnarounds and material logistics (structural steel, cement, finishing elements) to meet critical path milestones.
Collaborate with the Head Office Finance and Contract Administration departments to track cash flow, audit daily labor hours, and control material wastage against the approved Bill of Quantities (BoQ).
Enforce a zero-compromise Health, Safety, and Environment (H&SE) culture on site, ensuring safe working platforms for high-rise scaffolding, edge protection, crane operations, and personal protective equipment (PPE) compliance.
Skills & Competencies
Technical & Professional Skills:
In-depth technical knowledge of high-strength concrete mix designs, vertical formwork systems (steel and wood), and reinforcing steel detailing.
Strong familiarity with contract administration frameworks (including FPPA, standard subcontract conditions, and variation/claims processes).
Excellent leadership, team coordination, and problem-solving skills, with a track record of managing multi-ethnic teams (local and expatriate engineers).
