Job Summary

The Senior Safety and Insurance Officer protects NTPLC's people, trucks, and cargo by driving road-safety compliance, investigating accidents, and managing vehicle and cargo insurance through to claim settlement.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Implement company safety policies, procedures, and occupational health and safety requirements.

• Monitor road safety and promote safe driving practices among truck drivers and staff.

• Conduct vehicle safety inspections and identify operational hazards; carry out risk assessments.

• Investigate road traffic accidents, vehicle damage, cargo loss, and other incidents.

• Prepare accident reports and recommend corrective and preventive measures.

• Coordinate vehicle and cargo insurance coverage, renewals, claims, and documentation.

• Follow up with claims with insurance companies, assessors, and garages to ensure timely settlement.

• Maintain records of accidents, policies, claims, and incidents, and track safety KPIs.

• Conduct safety awareness sessions and support driver safety training.

• Prepare periodic safety and insurance performance reports for management.

Job Requirements

• BA/BSc in Occupational Health and Safety, Risk Management, Insurance, Transport Management, Logistics, Mechanical/Automotive Engineering or a related field.

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in safety management, insurance or claims administration, risk management or transport operations.

• Experience in truck fleet safety and vehicle/cargo insurance claims is a strong advantage.

• Certification in occupational safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) or defensive driving instruction is an advantage.
