Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Senior Sales & Retail Officer to drive revenue and manage customer interactions within our premium showroom. The successful candidate will be a quick learner with specific experience in the furniture industry, capable of balancing high-level sales negotiation with hands-on showroom management. This role requires a professional who can expertly showcase our collections while ensuring every customer receives an elite, tailored experience.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales Execution & Revenue Growth

  • Proactively engage with walk-in customers to identify their furniture needs and convert inquiries into high-value sales.

  • Meet and exceed monthly and annual sales targets through strategic pitching and persistent follow-ups.

  • Demonstrate expert product knowledge regarding materials, craftsmanship, and interior design styles.

  • Prepare and present professional sales proposals and design solutions to both retail and corporate clients.

2. Showroom & Retail Coordination

  • Maintain world-class showroom standards, ensuring all displays are elegant, clean, and professional.

  • Lead guided showroom tours, effectively "selling the space" and the quality of Yusra Home’s premium furniture.

  • Monitor floor stock levels and coordinate with the warehouse to ensure fast-moving items are always on display.

  • Implement visual merchandising strategies to highlight new arrivals or promotional items.

3. Customer Experience & Relationship Management

  • Manage the end-to-end customer journey, from the first greeting to post-delivery satisfaction checks.

  • Build and maintain a strong database of repeat clients, including interior designers, architects, and homeowners.

  • Handle and resolve escalated customer complaints or delivery issues with a focus on professional problem-solving.

4. Business Development & Marketing Support

  • Identify new market segments and potential partnerships to expand the company’s reach in Addis Ababa.

  • Represent the company at industry expos, furniture exhibitions, and high-level networking events.

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to provide insights for social media content and promotional campaigns.

5. Reporting & Operational Alignment

  • Prepare weekly sales performance reports and provide feedback on market trends and competitor activity.

  • Coordinate delivery and installation schedules with the logistics team to ensure on-time customer commitments.

  • Monitor sales data to help forecast demand and assist in inventory optimization

Job Requirements

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, or a related field.

  • Experience: 4+ years of proven sales experience, specifically within the furniture or interior solutions sector.

  • Must be a quick learner, presentable, and possess strong negotiation abilities.

  • Communication: Fluent in Amharic and English with excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Technical: Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with CRM or retail systems is a plus.
