Senior Warehouse Officer

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Organizes, manages & controls the store using up to date standards

  • Arranges the periodic physical count of inventory; initiates the reconciliation of actual inventory & inventory balance on the records.

  • Verifies & approves the appropriateness materials issue & receipt vouchers.

  • Manage and maintain the company’s inventory including stock profiles and stock locations.

  • Provides routine management information on inventory performance.

  • Monitors and evaluates spare parts & consumables usage & costs.

  • Assumes responsibility for managing and running planned stock levels.

  • Exerts efforts & controls to avoid obsolescence, damage, spoilage or capital tied up; identifies & reports slow moving materials to manager.

  • Ensures that materials in store have insurance policies.

  • Ensures proper arrangement & storage of materials.

  • Develops economic usage of store & presents to responsible body; implements after approval.

  • Distinguishes the materials returned to store in to those which are usable & worthless; initiates the discarding of worthless items & the repair of usable materials.

  • Makes storage of items no longer needed by the company in the separate place & properly; produces reports on mechanism of selling these items.Generates periodic reports about its duty& presents to the Manager

Job Requirements

MSc/MA/BSc /BA/ in Supply Chain Management/ Property Management or related field of studies 4/6years of relevant experience
