Addis Tesfa 13 Housing Cooperative  Society  is a member-established organization, founded in 2015 E.C. under the Addis Ababa Housing Association. Our primary mission is to construct quality apartments through the collective contributions of our members, providing tangible housing solutions and fostering community development.

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Store Person for our construction project site in Weyra Sefer. The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient management of all site materials, from receiving and storage to issuance and inventory control. This role is critical to ensuring the project has the necessary resources to proceed on schedule and requires a proactive individual willing to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receiving: Accept all incoming materials and equipment, verifying quantities and condition against purchase orders and delivery notes.

  • Storage & Organization: Safely and systematically store all items in the designated warehouse and storage areas, ensuring easy identification and access.

  • Inventory Control: Conduct regular stock checks, cycle counts, and comprehensive stocktaking to maintain accurate inventory records.

  • Issuing Materials: Dispense materials, tools, and equipment to site personnel and subcontractors against approved requisitions.

  • Record Keeping & Reporting: Maintain meticulous and up-to-date records of all stock movements. Prepare and submit accurate weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual inventory reports.

  • Stock Management: Monitor stock levels to prevent shortages and flag the need for reordering in a timely manner. Assist in managing surplus and Shortage stock.

  • Site Support: Work closely with the project and procurement teams to ensure a smooth flow of materials to the point of use.

  • Safety & Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly warehouse environment.

Terms & Conditions

  • Salary: Negotiable, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

  • Work Schedule: Must be willing and available to work extended hours, including weekends if necessary, to meet project deadlines.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: A minimum of a Diploma is required.

  • Minimum Experience: At least 3 years of proven experience as a Store Person or in a similar storekeeping role on a construction site.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficient in computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) for data entry, reporting, and communication.

    • Demonstrated experience in stock management, inventory control systems, and record-keeping.

  • Core Competencies: Strong understanding of receiving, storing, issuing, and recording procedures.
