Strategic Finance Director
Position:
Organization: Ovid Trade House
Not Specified
The Director – Strategic Finance serves as a core financial strategist at the center of capital allocation, value creation, liquidity management, and investment decision support across OVID Holding and its portfolio companies. The role is designed for a high-level finance leader who can move beyond reporting numbers — to shaping decisions, evaluating enterprise value, optimizing cash deployment, and ensuring funds are always directed to the highest-return initiatives across the Group.
This position supports the Deputy Group CEO and Group CFO in establishing a disciplined, data-driven financial environment, capable of supporting rapid growth, complex project portfolios, and regional expansion. The Director ensures that every decision — project initiation, funding, refinancing, restructuring or asset disposal — is backed by fact-based analysis, cash impact visibility, and scenario modeling.
This is not a routine finance role — it is a Group-level value architect, bridging strategy and execution to make growth predictable, profitable and cash-positive.
Duties and Responsibilities
Liquidity & Cash Governance
Develop and maintain a forward-looking cash visibility dashboard for the Group (weekly, monthly, quarterly outlook).
Monitor treasury positions, intercompany flows, working capital levels, and fund requirements.
Flag liquidity pressure points early and propose mitigation actions.
Ensure disciplined cash allocation aligned with Holding priorities and risk appetite.
Support optimization of payment terms, collections, cash conversion cycles and funding structures.
Value Creation & Profitability Analytics
Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify value drivers in each subsidiary.
Build profitability levers for pricing, cost structure, overheads, portfolio mix, contract terms, and operational efficiency.
Partner with CEOs and Finance Directors to translate insights into execution initiatives with KPIs, timelines and owners.
Build dashboards that track EBITDA, ROCE, free cash flow, and capital productivity.
Lead analytical work behind restructuring, turnaround actions, and performance improvement programs.
Capital Allocation & Investment Decision Support
Conduct feasibility studies and business case evaluations for new projects, asset developments, divestments or acquisitions.
Lead scenario modelling for capital deployment, funding options, and return measurement.
Prepare investment memos for Capital Committee and Board decision gates.
Develop frameworks to prioritize funding across subsidiaries based on ROI, payback, strategic importance, and risk exposure.
Support refinancing, debt structuring, credit rating readiness and investor partnerships.
Financial Modelling & Valuation Baseline
Build and update valuation models for group companies using audited and management accounts.
Lead sensitivity analysis, stress testing and assumptions validation.
Standardize monthly management packs (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, ratios).
Prepare investor-grade reporting for banks, financiers, and potential capital partners.
Track performance vs. business plans and provide insight commentary.
C-Suite Strategic Advisory
Prepare decision notes for CEO, DCEO & CFO summarizing options, trade-offs, risks and recommended actions.
Translate financial data into strategic insight for non-finance executives.
Provide thought partnership on funding strategy, cost reset programs, M&A, and growth opportunities.
Challenge assumptions objectively and ensure decisions are fact-based, not perception-based.
Systems, Data & Reporting Maturity
Work with the Digital & ERP Office to enhance finance data integrity and system adoption.
Advocate for ERP/Odoo discipline — eliminating shadow spreadsheets and fragmented data sources.
Improve visibility through dashboards, automation, and real-time reporting.
Strengthen financial governance and internal control where gaps exist.
Leadership & Cross-Entity Collaboration
Works closely with CEOs, Finance Directors, Strategy and PMO teams.
Mentor finance analysts and support capability building within subsidiaries.

Additional Duties
Perform any other strategic tasks assigned by Deputy Group CEO or Group CFO.
