Organization: Kurmuk Gold Mine PLC
Kurmuk Gold Mine PLC (KGM), a subsidiary of Allied Gold Corp., a publicly listed company on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX), is engaged in gold mining operations across multiple countries, including Ethiopia, Mali, and Côte d'Ivoire. KGM operates with a Large-Scale Gold Mining License and holds three contiguous Exploration Licenses for its project in Ethiopia.
The project is strategically located in western Ethiopia, approximately 750 km from Addis Ababa and about 90 km northwest of Assosa, within the Benishangul-Gumuz Regional State. KGM is actively involved in both mine development and exploration activities at the site.
The Management of KGM is seeking to employ a dedicated, experienced and self-motivated individual to fill the position of Superintendent Engineering Services to actively manage all engineering operations in the area of responsibility, overseeing and managing general engineering services, engineering teams, planning projects, ensuring equipment maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
Without being exhaustive, the responsibilities include:
Participate in the development and implementation of policies, processes, and procedures for implementation across all engineering functions of the operation.
Set Engineering targets according to Production and Engineering requirements
Integrate and co-ordinate Engineering and technical maintenance plans
Deploy Engineering teams to ensure repair and maintenance to maximize Engineering running hours
Investigate, diagnose problems and breakdowns to determine resource requirements and order spares according to Company procedures
Perform inspections in accordance with the Mine Health and Safety regulations and analyse breakdowns
Supervise subordinates in their daily activities to ensure maintenance according to organisational standards and the maintenance requirements
Continuously analyse equipment efficiencies and recommend or implement improvements and changes to maximise running hours
Communicate equipment information and changes to internal stakeholders to minimise production delays
Determine work schedules in conjunction with other Engineering / Process teams to ensure availability and optimise utilization of equipment to the relevant section and consult with production teams on maintenance activities that affect production
Ensure availability during standby duties according to schedule
Perform administrative duties to ensure record accuracy and availability, budget compliance and spares availability
Comply with established communication channels and enhance when required
Always strive for continuous improvements within personnel, systems, and equipment by identifying and recommending/implementing better ways to complete tasks.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills:
A tertiary qualification/diploma in the field of Engineering from a recognised institution
Valid international drivers licence
Minimum 8 years’ experience in Engineering preferably as Engineering Supervisor in the mining environment.
Demonstrated experience and understanding of developing operationally ready mine designs and schedules.
