Job Summary
The Tax & Treasury Accountant will support the company's tax compliance and treasury operations through tax reporting, treasury transaction management, bank reconciliations, cash flow support, compliance monitoring, and financial reporting activities.
Key Responsibilities
Tax Administration
• Prepare and support tax declarations and filings
• Assist with VAT, withholding tax, payroll tax, import tax, and other tax compliance requirements
• Perform tax reconciliations and maintain supporting documentation
• Support tax audits and regulatory reviews
Treasury Operations
• Perform bank reconciliations and treasury transaction monitoring
• Assist in cash flow monitoring and treasury reporting
• Monitor foreign currency transactions and treasury records
• Maintain proper treasury documentation and controls
Compliance & Risk Management
• Conduct tax health checks and compliance reviews
• Support internal and external audit processes
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
• Maintain proper records for business continuity and compliance purposes
Financial Reporting
• Prepare treasury and tax reports
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities
• Assist with reconciliations, variance analysis, and reporting requirements
• Support accurate accounting for tax and treasury transactions

Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience in treasury, tax, accounting, or finance functions
• Strong understanding of Ethiopian tax regulations and treasury operations
• Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is preferred
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is an advantage
