The Opportunity

The position holder will be responsible for managing inventory, System, and serves as a focal person for Vendor creation or deletion, Data Cleansing in SAP, and support in the Asset and Inventory Software. In addition, the position holder is also responsible for providing SAP and asset and inventory system support to users.

This position is also responsible for checking and ensuring that obsolescence is within the acceptable tolerance level and ensures that dispatches are made timely. He/she will ensure the full application of stock management tools and systems, and flag non-moving stocks and irregularities to the line manager for subsequent action.

Safeguarding Children and Program Participants (Safeguarding) and Gender Equality and Inclusion (GEI)

  • Understands and puts into practice the responsibilities under Safeguarding and GEI policies and Plan International’s Code of Conduct (CoC), ensuring that concerns are reported and managed per the appropriate procedures.

  • Ensures that all staff in the unit/function/department are properly inducted on and understand their role in upholding Plan International’s safeguarding and GEI policies;

  • Ensures that Plan International’s global policies for Safeguarding Children and Young People and Gender Equality and Inclusion are fully embedded in day-to-day work.

  • Ensures that Plan Ethiopia contributes to Plan International’s global efforts to ensure safeguarding and GEI, including making sure that relevant reporting and data are submitted.

About You

The Individual

Qualifications/ experience essential:

  • BA Degree or Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, ICT, Accounting or related fields with 3-5 years of relevant work experience (not necessarily gained in an NGO or INGO), out of which 1 year at a supervisory level

  • Advanced Excel knowledge and SAP and Asset, and Inventory software.

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Good interpersonal skills

  • Data analytics

  • Database management

  • Management reporting

  • Sound analytical and problem-solving capability;

  • Ability to influence others’ behavior through effective relationship building; thorough current knowledge and understanding of relevant policies, frameworks etc.

  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to a non-technical audience.

Skill Essential:

Qualifications/Experience Desirable:

  • Certification in Supply Chain Management is preferable

  • Experience in providing training

  • Medical stock management and pharmacy background or experience

  • Additional working experience from an international humanitarian and development organization is a plus

Languages Required

  • Fluency in the English language is essential

  • Knowledge of local languages is a desirable

Requirement Skill

Ability to deliver quality work within deadlines

Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and work under pressure.
