Position:
Organization: Consortium of Ethiopian Human Rights Organizations(CEHRO)
The Consortium of Ethiopian Human Rights Organizations (CEHRO) is a Civil Society Organization registered under the Civil Society Organization (CSOs) Proclamation No. 1113/2011, Registration No. 3932 and a consortium of 30 CSOs working on Human Rights, democracy and peace-building. The consortium is working to promote the protection of Human Rights by creating a common platform for CSOs to have their voices heard and to initiate evidence-based advocacy. It is also working to strengthen the capacity of existing and new Human Rights organizations.
CEHRO with the financial support of MMD Grant from the EU in collaboration with Samuel Hall and other Consortium members in the East and Horn of Africa is implementing the Local Leadership East African Return and Reintegration Network (LLEARN) project, which responds by promoting inclusive, participatory reintegration strategies through research, local networks, and collaborative planning in key secondary cities.
The LLEARN project aims to strengthen the knowledge of municipal stakeholders on the dynamics, actors, and gaps in policy and programs for (re)integration in urban contexts in Ethiopia. To achieve this, CEHRO is conducting a robust research initiative comprising qualitative and quantitative methodologies including:
10 semi-structured interviews (SSIs) with vulnerable migrants
20 key informant interviews (KIIs) with CSOs
350 quantitative in-person surveys with IDPs, host communities, and human trafficking victims
To ensure high-quality data collection and local engagement, CEHRO seeks to recruit an experienced Field Team Leader to oversee field operations on a short term consultancy basis.
The Field Team Leader will be responsible for the coordination, supervision, and quality assurance of all field data collection activities and will work closely with enumerators and qualitative data collectors on the field as a supervisor. The role will ensure that the research adheres to methodology standards, ethical guidelines, and project timelines.
