ATTA Trading PLC is seeking to hire a highly qualified Timekeeper for its Olompiya construction site. The Timekeeper will be responsible for recording and maintaining accurate attendance, working hours, overtime, and leave records of all employees, subcontractors, and laborers at the project site. This role ensures transparency, supports payroll accuracy, and provides workforce data for effective project management.

1. Attendance & Workforce Management
Record daily attendance of employees, subcontractors, and laborers at the site.
Monitor and report late arrivals, early departures, absenteeism, and shift changes.
Ensure proper recording of night shift workers in collaboration with supervisors.
Maintain updated manpower deployment records.
2. Timekeeping & Payroll Support
Track normal working hours, overtime, and leave accurately.
Verify daily timesheets against attendance records and supervisors’ reports.
Submit accurate time and attendance data to the HR/Payroll department.
Prevent errors or fraudulent entries by cross-checking with site supervisors.
3. Coordination & Reporting
Work closely with site engineers, foremen, and supervisors to confirm workforce allocation.
Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly manpower reports to project management.
Assist HR with information regarding transfers, new hires, resignations, and disciplinary cases.
4. Documentation & Compliance
Maintain proper filing of attendance sheets, overtime approvals, and related records.
Ensure confidentiality of all employee attendance and payroll data.
Ensure compliance with company policies, Ethiopian labor laws, and project agreements.
Support project audits by providing accurate and complete documentation.
5. Additional Duties
Assist management in monitoring labor productivity and project labor costs.
Resolve or report disputes related to attendance or working hours.
Carry out any other timekeeping-related tasks assigned by the Project Manager or HR.

Timely submission of reports for payroll processing.
Ensuring fairness and transparency in time recording.
Confidentiality of employee data and payroll-related information.

Qualifications & Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum 2–3 years’ experience as a Timekeeper in the construction sector (required).
Strong knowledge of timekeeping practices and payroll processes.
Good understanding of Ethiopian labor laws and regulations.
Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and attendance management systems.
Excellent communication, reporting, and organizational skills.
High integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
Working Conditions
Based at Olompiya construction site, Addis Ababa.
Requires working beyond regular hours, including weekends or holidays, if needed.
Close coordination with HR, Finance, Project Manager, and site engineers.
