Key Responsibilities
Treasury & Cash Management
• Lead and manage day-to-day treasury operations, including cash positioning, liquidity planning, and working capital management
• Prepare and monitor short- and long-term cash flow forecasts
• Manage bank accounts, overdrafts, and cash pooling/sweeping arrangements
• Ensure timely vendor payments, fund transfers, and banking transactions
• Oversee month-end and quarter-close treasury processes
Banking & Financial Relationships
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with banks and financial institutions
• Negotiate and manage debt facilities, overdrafts, and loan agreements
• Conduct benchmarking of banking services and manage cost efficiency
• Ensure compliance with banking regulations and internal treasury policies
Foreign Currency (FX) Management
• Lead foreign currency sourcing and management activities
• Oversee LC, CAD, and TT transactions and ensure compliance with National Bank of Ethiopia regulations
• Manage FX applications, approvals, and capital registrations
• Prepare FX and treasury updates for senior management
Monitoring & Control
• Ensure accurate recording of bank transactions in SAP
• Review interest calculations, bank reconciliations, and accruals
• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and treasury reporting
• Strengthen internal controls and continuous improvement initiatives
People Management
• Lead, coach, and develop treasury and finance team members
• Set KPIs and monitor performance
• Ensure strong discipline, execution, and compliance culture within the team

Qualifications & Experience
• BA Degree in Accounting or Finance (MBA/MA is an advantage)
• Minimum:
o 8 years of relevant experience with BA
o 6 years with MBA/MA
o 4 years with ACCA
• At least 2 years in a Treasury Head or equivalent capacity
• Mandatory experience in a manufacturing company or audit firm
• Hands-on experience with SAP (Core Treasury Module)
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, with IFRS 9 expertise desirable
• Experience in:
o Money Market & Loans
o Foreign Exchange
o Risk Management
o Cash forecasting and liquidity management
