Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Vehicle and Machinery Inspector
Job Purpose
To ensure the operational readiness, safety, and technical compliance of the organization's vehicles, heavy machinery, and equipment through systematic inspections, fault diagnosis, maintenance quality verification, and adherence to regulatory standards, thereby minimizing downtime and ensuring uninterrupted operations.
3. Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Routine & Preventive Inspection: Conduct regular technical inspections of all vehicles and heavy machinery (e.g., dozers, excavators, loaders, heavy trucks) including engine, hydraulic, braking, electrical, and transmission systems.
- Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Identify and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults using diagnostic technical expertise, and prepare detailed fault assessment reports.
- Quality Control & Maintenance Clearance: Perform pre-commissioning checks and operational/road test drives after maintenance or repairs to verify quality and issue official technical clearance before deployment.
- Spare Parts & Materials Assessment: Inspect newly purchased or replacement spare parts and components to ensure they meet technical specifications and required quality standards.
- Safety & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure vehicles and machinery complies with government safety standards,.
- Documentation & Reporting: Complete detailed inspection checklists, document technical findings, recommend necessary repairs,
Damage & Incident Assessment: Assess damaged machinery or vehicles in the event of accidents or breakdowns, and prepare cost and technical damage reports
Job Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Level 3 or Level 4 Diploma / COC Certification in Auto Mechanics, Automotive Technology, or a related field.
- Work Experience: Minimum of 6 (six) years of relevant experience in vehicle and heavy machinery inspection.
- Grade 4/5 Valid driving License is Mandatory
5. Required Knowledge, Skills & Competencies
- Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of automotive electrical systems, hydraulics, diesel engines, and heavy machinery operation.
- Communication & Reporting: Strong technical writing skills to produce detailed inspection reports and communicate effectively with maintenance teams.
- Problem Solving & Detail Orientation: High attention to detail during physical inspections and strong problem-solving skills under operational pressure.

Job Requirements
The role requires a Level 3 or 4 Diploma / COC Certification in Auto Mechanics, Automotive Technology, or related field and at least six years of experience inspecting vehicles and heavy machinery.
