Job Summary

The Video Editor / Cinematographer is responsible for planning, capturing, editing, and producing high-quality video content for marketing, branding, and communication purposes. The role focuses strongly on cinematography, visual storytelling, and professional video production to enhance the organization’s image, campaigns, and digital presence across social media and other platforms.

Job Requirements

Education
  • Professional Certificate with related field of study

Experience
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of proven experience in video editing and cinematography.

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating professional video production work is required.

  • Experience in corporate, marketing, or media production environments is an advantage.

Duties and Responsibilities

Cinematography and Video Production
  • Plan, shoot, and produce high-quality video content for marketing and communication campaigns.

  • Operate professional camera equipment, lighting systems, and audio recording tools.

  • Apply strong cinematography techniques including framing, composition, lighting, and camera movement.

  • Capture events, interviews, promotional content, and institutional activities

Video Editing and Post-Production
  • Edit raw footage into polished and engaging videos using professional editing software.

  • Add transitions, color correction, sound design, subtitles, and motion graphics where necessary.

  • Ensure videos align with brand identity and communication objectives.

  • Optimize video content for different platforms (YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, etc.).

Creative Development
  • Develop storyboards and visual concepts for video projects.

  • Collaborate with marketing and content teams to align video content with campaign goals.

  • Contribute creative ideas for storytelling and visual branding.

Equipment and Technical Management
  • Maintain and manage cameras, lenses, drones, lighting, and editing equipment.

  • Ensure all equipment is properly used, stored, and in good working condition.

  • Stay updated with modern video production technologies and trends.

Collaboration and Coordination
  • Work closely with content creators, designers, and marketing teams.

  • Attend events and field assignments as required for video coverage.

  • Support live recording or streaming when needed.

Quality Control and Delivery
  • Ensure all video outputs meet high-quality production standards.

  • Deliver projects within agreed timelines.

  • Review and revise content based on feedback from management.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong cinematography and visual storytelling skills.

  • Proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or equivalent).

  • Strong understanding of lighting, sound, and camera operations.

  • Creativity and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Flexibility to work on field assignments and events.
