The workshop supervisor is the one who manages and controls the tasks and operations inside the workshop. He is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the workshop, workstation, and tools, ensuring safety and order in day-to-day business, as well as adhering to established forms and standard procedures. 

  • Ensure that the workshop and surrounding environments are kept clean, orderly, and safe.

  • Oversee the condition and setup of all workstations to ensure they are functional and ergonomic.

  • Manage and maintain all electrical and hand tools, ensuring they are in safe, working condition and regularly inspected.

  • Monitor and manage the availability of standard materials used in the workshop (e.g., fasteners, lubricants, sealants).

  • Ensure stock levels are maintained and properly stored for easy access and traceability.

  • Maintain part of the spare parts inventory relevant to workshop activities.

  • Ensure accurate labeling, storage, and issuance of parts as per procedures.

  • Maintain accurate records of tool inspections, material usage, and spare part movements.

  • Monitor the availability and accessibility of machine manuals, ensuring both hardcopy and softcopy versions are up to date and properly stored.

  • Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) relevant to workshop tasks.

  • Support and follow up on ISO standardization efforts by ensuring documentation is in line with quality and safety system requirements.

  • Any task assigned by the manager or supervisor 

Job Requirements

  • BSC Degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field

  • Experience of more than 3 years required as a workshop supervisor 

  • Ability to supervise, motivate, and guide a team effectively on keeping the workshop clean and safe.

  • Fair and consistent in handling performance and behavior issues

  • Structured approach to managing tools, parts, and documentation.

  • Careful with safety, cleanliness, and tool conditions.

  • Accurate with documentation and inventory records.

  • Solid understanding of tools (electrical and manual), mechanical systems, and general maintenance practices.

  • Familiarity with reading and using machine manuals, SOPs, and technical drawings

  • Capable of writing basic reports and updating documents correctly.

  • Committed to safety rules and enforcing workshop standards.

  • Takes ownership of the workshop condition, tool availability, and team performance

  • Able to work with digital tools for documentation (e.g. Word, Excel, shared folders).

  • Comfortable updating digital SOPs, manuals, and ISO records.

  • Experience with or willingness to learn Microsoft Business Central for tasks such as inventory tracking, spare part requests, and basic reporting
