The Young Professionals Development Program (YPDP) is a one-year program designed to empower young professionals by providing them with on the job-experiences, comprehensive training, mentorship, and development opportunities. The program aims to enhance the participants' skills, expand their network, and advance their careers by offering various workshops, trainings and activities.
The Young Professional (YP) is expected to have the drive and dedication to gain diverse experiences and work on a range of projects. Through this process, the YP will discover where their strengths lie and identify the area that best aligns with their interests and career goals. The YP is also expected to put in a lot of self-effort to gain knowledge and experience in the sector and department they are interested in pursuing.
Duties and Responsibilities
The specific responsibilities of a YP will vary depending on the department placed.
As a Young Professional (YP), you will be responsible for the following:
Contribute to ongoing projects and initiatives within your chosen area of specialization, under the guidance of experienced mentors and managers.
Attend training sessions, workshops, and seminars designed to sharpen your technical, managerial, and leadership skills.
Collaborate with other young professionals and colleagues from diverse backgrounds to promote a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and teamwork.
Participate in networking events to build relationships with industry leaders and explore potential career opportunities.
Participate in performance evaluations and receive constructive feedback to facilitate personal and professional growth.
Be adaptable and able to handle change in a fast-paced work environment.
Engage in critical and creative problem solving.
Put in self-effort to learn and grow professionally.
Job Requirements
Educational Background: A recent graduate (within the last 12 months) having passed the Ethiopian Exit Exam from an accredited university with a degree in Economics, Business Administration, Marketing, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Academic Excellence: Must have maintained a minimum CGPA of 3.0 or equivalent.
Professional Exposure: While this is an entry-level role, prior internship experience is highly regarded.
